From the get-go, Ellen and Julia of JUELL Home Staging & Design impressed us on multiple levels.

At our first meeting, we shared several phrases to describe our vision for our new home. These included:

Sophisticated but relaxed

Clean lines and open spaces

Quality over quantity

Low maintenance

Calm, inviting and easy on the eye

At our second meeting, Ellen and Julia responded with a master color palette and a cohesive design plan for our whole home.  Their proposal showed us they had really listened, which led to the creation of an environment of mutual respect, collaboration, and a strong sense of trust.

These ideas can be seen in our cabana and bathrooms where the materials run or blend all around the room without stopping or starting creating fresh, clean and minimal spaces.  In each area, some contrast or interest were limited to a vanity, shower floor or object that became a stand out feature as everything else blends together as a backdrop.

The kitchen was designed to be an extension of all the surrounding spaces, living room, dining room, and den.

Using a neutral color palette and balancing materials like wood, glass, and Caesarstone, they created a space that is all about cooking and functionality combined with atmosphere, socializing and beauty.

Classic white walls and trim were key in order to not only set off the artwork and rugs that we collected over the years but most importantly to allow us to highlight and draw attention to our favorite aspect: the beautiful landscape and magnificent property outside.

Throughout the project, Ellen and Julia had an uncanny sense for knowing what we were thinking but hadn't yet said aloud. Several times we called them second-guessing or feeling unsure about a decision, however, due to the trust they established we decided to go with their guidance. Once we were able to see the idea come to fruition, we fell in love immediately.

As changes popped up, keeping the big picture in mind and referring back to the original master plan helped us address the house as a whole.  The result is a home that is designed for high use yet low maintenance that looks intentional, sophisticated, and beautiful!

We would work with the JUELL team again in a heartbeat!
