Sustainability
The impact our daily live have on our environment has influenced design across the board.
Incorporating sustainable and green design has become essential for all of us. Using eco-friendly materials and furniture is one way we can lessen the impact of climate change.
It's become more important than ever to invest in quality pieces that we love, that we can keep for years.
Organic
Like the 1970's we see a celebration of all that is organic and natural, bringing the outdoors in. Reflective of this trend are a warm organic color palate such as olive green, ochre and burnt orange and wood tones from light Scandinavian inspired colors to deep walnut.
We are also going to continue to see Biophilia as a trend, incorporating live plants which adds a pop of color, texture and warmth, while enhancing mood and a sense of well-being.
Maximalism
Maximalist design is a reaction to the stark minimalism that has dominated design for the last 10 years. It is exemplified by bold color, patterns, large art groupings and collections, and distinctive eclectic style.
Go for it...one should display what you love. Large grouping are good, but don't abandon symmetry. Symmetry is the structure that is the glue that holds all the madness together.
Wallpaper
These days Wallpaper is not limited to your granny's old florals. With today's peel and stick wallpaper as an option, renters can now dive into a trend that in the past was out of their grasp.
You can use wallpaper to add texture, clean lines, or a pop of color and contrast.
There is a wide and varied selection of both classic and peel and stick wallpaper, from subtle sophisticated designs to super fun and poppy.
Curvy Shapes
A new feminine energy is unleashed throughout the Curvy Shaped design trend. Inspired by the 60's and 70's rounded furniture, it's in direct contrast to the hard lines of minimalism. This trend evokes a more relaxed feeling.
But don't fear, you won't have to abandon all your lovely geometric pieces, because the curves pair nicely with them.
Multifuncional Spaces
Since we have all had to rethink our homes in the times we are living in, there is a new and focused doubling up of functionality. Kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and hallway nooks all now find themselves sharing purpose as offices and classrooms. So many of us have to integrate home design where there once was none and storage areas that can be cleverly created with attractive solutions.
JUELL creates and curated designs for vacant, lived in and commercial spaces.
We work safely both in person and virtually to meet all of your staging and design needs.
